Potpourri

Like a said the other day, it's been rather gloomy here lately and we've been stuck in the hotel for a few days. Fortunately, we had an empty box sitting around our hotel room, so we decided make a dolls house out of it. All four sides are different doll house entrances: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, A Fairy House, The Princess Castle, and Gracie's creation. We cut little doors into the box for all the characters to pop in and out of and Grace made a little couch and bed with a Kleenex as a blanket. It was one of my favorite afternoons.

This morning we ran out to the grocery store and I happened to notice this bar. Ironically, my Dad's name is Mickey and my Mom's maiden name is Flynn.

After the grocery store, Grace and I stopped at the park a few blocks from our hotel. We were there for all of ten minutes before the temperature (in Celsius) started to drop and the rain began again. :( But I did get these cute pictures before we ran home.

The trampoline pictures never get old to me. I love her hair in this one.

Tonight Grace and Dave are making Salmon and salad for supper.
I love when Grace helps, it always tastes better.

Falun Dafa
Toronto, Canada
I bet you didn't know that this past Sunday was the 20th Anniversary of Falun Dafa, but you do now. I only know this, because as we were walking around downtown Toronto we bumped into a huge Asian celebration, including a marching band. In case you want to know Falun Dafa is an advanced self-cultivation practice of the Buddha School. It is a discipline in which assimilation to the highest qualities of the universe is the foundation of practice. So, we did what anyone else would do...watched for a few minutes and then partied in the park!

CN TOWER
Toronto, Canada

Gma sent Gracie the Good Night Toronto book and our first tourist stop was the CN Tower. We're pretty sure Grace thought it was going to be like Rapunzel's tower in Tangled, however she still thought it was pretty cool once we arrived

The CN Tower is 1,815 feet tall
Lightning strikes the CN Tower an average of 75 times per year. Long copper strips run down the CN Tower to grounding rods buried below ground to prevent damage.

The CN Tower's Glass Floor was the first of its kind when it was opened in June 1994. It is 256 sq. ft. of solid glass and 5 times stronger than the required weight-bearing standard for commercial floors. If 14 large hippos could fit in the elevator and get up to the Observation Deck, the Glass Floor could withstand their weight.

Fortunately, Grace weighs about 30 lbs. so I wasn't too worried.
She loved the glass floor, she went right over and plopped down to look at the tiny cars below.

We're hoping to check out as many Good Night Toronto highlights as possible. However, the weather has been rainy, foggy, and brisk, so we're crossing our fingers that some warm, sunny weather will head our way soon.

Irvington, NY to Toronto, Canada
486 miles

It's finally here...the last stop on the tour!!!
 TORONTO!
I recall about 7 months ago we started a countdown to the first day of tour and now here we are starting the countdown to our arrival home.

But while we are here, we plan to enjoy our time together.
Our hotel is nice and has a cute children's pool that we've already hit up twice.

If I know our fishie Grace, we'll find her at the pool everyday.

Easter
St. Louis, MO

In keeping with the tradition, the Easter Bunny remembered to bring a balloon again this year.
This balloon (almost a month later) is still floating. It's traveled from St. Louis to Cleveland to New York  and it is still going strong.

We had a little Easter Egg hunt in our hotel room.

The bunny also brought nail polish, so Michael and Grace painted each others toe nails. Yup...Grace painted his toes.

Lauren and Keith had the hotel room across the hall and bought Grace a huge Princess Easter basket. Adorable!

Michael put together a fabulous Easter brunch in our room for a bunch of the cast members. We ended up with 9 adults, 4 dogs, and  Princess Grace all packed in our room playing video games, coloring, and catching up. If we can't be with our families at least our have our Bring It On family!
