Rotary's Rubber Ducky Derby Day

For the 2nd year in a row Gracie and I went to the Duck Derby in Tarrytown, NY.
(You know how I feel about traditions...and we are starting one with the Duck Derby)

Last year Gracie was to tiny to do any of the "rides," so this year we gave it ago.
She tried out the Sesame Street bouncy house for a bit~
but was sadly knocked over by a bigger kid and thus ended our "ride" experience.

Here's Gracie and the duck. She looks thrilled doesn't she?

We had a really nice afternoon...and are looking forward to next year!

Tilly Foster Farm
A John and Gracie Day

This is Gracie and her bestest buddy John!

He loves her and she loves him.
They talk about each other when they are apart and
count the days till they are playing together again.

Tilly Foster Farm is right down the road from John's house and
the farm's cow recently had a little calf.
 Perfect timing!
This gave us a perfect excuse to go visit the farm and have a sleep over at John's house!

Play Ball!!!
Wicked Broadway Show League

DP plays for the Wicked Team in the Broadway Show League. Since we left our Atlanta Adventures we have been counting down the days until softball would begin. This is David's third year playing ball and it has become something we love to do as a family. We were just reminiscing while driving down to the game last week that 3 summers ago I sat in the stands getting bigger and bigger. We didn't even get to go to the final game because Gracie was born that day. Last year was Gracie first summer watching Daddy play baseball. She didn't really get it, but loved the clapping and the occasional popsicle. This year Gracie is ready! She has been counting down the days with us.

A conversation between Gracie and I:
Mommy: Gracie what does Daddy's hat say?
Gracie:YANKEES!
Mommy:Who likes the Yankees?
Gracie: DADDY!
Mommy: Who else?
Gracie GRACIE!
Mommy: What do the Yankees play?
Gracie:BASEBALL!
Mommy: Who else plays baseball?
Gracie:DADDY!

And just so you know~ Wicked won last weeks game 15 to 9
LET'S GO WICKED!!!!!!

North Royalton Adventures
A Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's House

We try to take a trip every year to Ohio for a very special holiday...my birthday!!! And this year we got a two for one holiday celebration...We FINALLY got to celebrate Christmas with my family.

We also had the chance to see some old friends. Grace and Hayden have only met one time prior to this visit...yet they act like they've been friends for years. Very cute those 2!!!

Gracie also got to visit with her Great Grandparents, Great Uncle Tom and Great Aunt Mary!
Here's Gracie with Grandma Lois

and Aunt Mary

Driving 7 hours with a 19 month old is totally worth it when the end result is a house with a slide in it!!!

First words out of Grace's mouth every morning:
"Go see Grampa!"
"Go see Grama!"
"Go down slide again!"

One of Gracie's favorite parts of the trip was cooking with Grandpa.
We've been home for 2 weeks and she still brings it up.

 "Gracie roll dough with Grampa"

The end result was delicious pizza bites. Ask Grace for the recipe.
I should get her to start her own cooking blog.

We had a great visit and as usual it's always sad to say goodbye. But Gracie keeps reminding us of the fun she had while in "HI-O." So I guess we'll have to go back.
I mean they have a slide in their house...who wouldn't want to go there!
